Mount Olivet UMC is a Stephen Ministry Church

Stephen Ministers serve as an extension and expansion of the pastoral office in providing one-to-one trained, listening, praying, lay people; to our congregation and the broader community; for people in crisis, experiencing tragedy or in need of long term care. The pastor may offer this extended care giving to people or a person may contact the pastor. The caregiving process is confidential.

What are Stephen Ministers?

Stephen Ministers have a compassionate heart for those who are hurting. They receive over 50 hours of training to provide one-to-one, Christ centered care.
