Baby Grand Piano

The church has been presented with a fantastic opportunity to replace the upright piano in the sanctuary with a beautiful baby grand piano! The total cost of the baby grand is $7,000 which is less than half what a new baby grand would cost. We have a relatively short time frame to raise the funds for the new piano. Currently we have received funds for about 1/2 of the total cost. We would like you to prayerfully consider contributing to the piano funds.

Donations can be made online via our online giving link.

Click on the “Online Giving” link on the top right of the page. Under “other” enter your donation and put “Piano Fund” in the memo line. You can also drop a donation off at the church office or in the offering plate on Sunday.

Getting this new piano would open up doors to a multitude of opportunities for Worship Services, Wedding Ceremonies, and other special events that happen regularly at Mount Olivet. We would appreciate your prayers and support.

2015 Graduates Recognition

2015 Graduate Recognition

Mount Olivet would like to be able to recognize the 2015 graduates of both high school and college. In order to do this, we need your help to ensure we have located all those students who are members; parents or grandparents are members of Mt. Olivet or are active in the Cove Ministries. We need this information by May 26th; Recognition Sunday will be June 7th during the 11:00 am service. We don’t want to leave anyone out!

Please call the church office (473-2089) and provide the following information for each of your seniors:

If they are graduating from high school –

    • Their name and the high school they are graduating from
    • What are their future plans? Are they going to college? If so, where?

If they are graduating from college –

    • Their name and the name of the college they are graduating from
    • What degree will they be earning? Do you know their future plans?

Mount Olivet UMM Fish Fry

On Friday May 8th, Mount Olivet’s United Methodist Men will be having a Scholarship Fish Fry Fundraiser. Dine-in or carry out between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.

$10.00 per plate. The food served will consist of fried fish, baked beans, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and homemade dessert.

Youth mission trip fundraiser

Youth mission trip fundraiser

On Saturday, May 16th, from 8:00-10:00am, the Cove will have a “Flapjack Fundraiser” at the Applebee’s restaurant in Nags Head. Come enjoy a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and a beverage (coffee, juice, soda, or tea) for $10. Tickets are on sale now through the church office or through the students who are going on the trip. Please consider buying a ticket and supporting our students as they prepare for a fantastic week of serving others this summer.
