Music
Serve the Lord in Song
It is the time to begin thinking about what
you will be involved in at the church. When becoming a member
of the church one pledges to be faithful with their gifts and service.
I would like to present five different areas in which you might
feel led to share the gifts God has given you and Serve the Body of
believers here at Mount Olivet.

Children’s Choir: Three year old children - 5th grade.
Chancel Choir: Open for all ages. We serve the 11:00 am worship
service. If you love to sing, we invite you to join us and we
worship through song and lead the church in worship through
songs. Do not worry if you can not read music. The only requirement
is that you love the Lord our God and desire to worship
through singing in a choir.
Resounding Praise: Our Praise Band leads the Contemporary service
in worship through song. We consist of vocalists and instrumentalists.
We do need guitarists, vocalists, and drummers. No
matter what your instrument is, it can be used for God’s glory.
Come and join us on Thursday evenings for our rehearsal at 6:00
pm in the Sanctuary.
Handbells: For anyone 6th grade - adults. Handbells are a lot of fun
and an exciting way to minister to many different people. You do
not need to know how to read music. You only need a heart and
desire to serve and learn.
Orchestra: It was a wonderful blessing last Easter when the instrumentalists
got together to play alongside the choir. There
was expressed an interest in continuing to meet and play again. If
you play an instrument and are interested in playing, let me know.
All ensembles will start the week of Sept. 6. Please if
you have a desire to worship and lead worship with music, please
come and join us. If you would like to help out with the youth or
children’s music, please come and let me know.
